PORTUGUESE BRANDS BACK TO LONDON

In its second edition of the year, Bubble London, which will take place from 19 to 20 of June, will include the participation of seven Portuguese brands – Bo Bell – Chua – Dot - Dr. Kid – Knot – Mag - Phi Clothing – that are travelling to the British capital as part of an initiative by the Selectiva Moda Association under the From Portugal internationalisation project.

The made in Portugal children's fashion proposals for the summer of next year will be gathered together at the Business Design Centre, at this year's second edition of Bubble London. The event brings together about 300 international brands, with particular emphasis on the seven Portuguese brands that promise to surprise all the visitors with their collections.

Dr. Kid, a habitual presence at this event, is presenting its collection in London under the motto "As light as a summer breeze". The particular highlights are the floral prints, Polk Dots and smooth canvases animated by fluttering butterflies, which give the collection a touch of fantasy. In terms of colours, navy and red hold a prominent place, which along with cerulean blue create new combinations, renewing the classic nautical theme. Pastel shades are used in the themes of the "Newborn" universe and for more sophisticated party themes. The nobility of the materials is ensured by the strong presence of cotton and linen. «Dr.Kid starts its season of international exhibitions in London where it believes that once again it will surprise those who already know it and it will certainly enchant new visitors. We are a children's clothing brand where the quality of the materials and design of the pieces speak for themselves,» says Liliana Ferraz, of the marketing and communications department of the company. «Our participation in this event is to strengthen ties with this market and cover new markets, since the visitors to this fair come from various parts of the world», she added.

Debuting at this event is the maternity brand MAG, which presents a collection full of novelties, where the future mother can find the ideal companions for casual and professional looks! «This is the first edition of this fair with an exclusive space for maternity brands, and given the importance this market and fair has for several Portuguese companies, we wanted to mark our presence right from the start», says Adriana Andrade, manager of the company. «We will show a fresh collection full of new items, in terms of both patterns and styles. We have tried this time to expand the range of products for which we have already achieved some visibility in Portugal and Spain, bringing fashion for everyday use to a segment with an excellent quality - price ratio! We have high expectations, since it will finally be the first international fair for us too. We believe we will convey the message that maternity fashion can be accessible to all, without losing quality or design!», she adds.

Also debuting at Bubble London is Phi Clothing which presents the main innovations of the summer collection, with particular emphasis on the matches and thong and t-shirt sets. «Our participation in this event is due to strategic issues, and we aim to increase sales», explains Filipa Moreira, designer of the brand.

Bubble London has two annual trade fairs, in January and June, and gathers more than 300 international brands. The main novelty of this edition is the launch of the "Bubble Bump" area, an area exclusively dedicated to maternity and childcare brands. There is a gap in the market as regards the maternity sector, and the creation of this area in Bubble London will fill this gap.

The participation of the seven Portuguese companies in one more Bubble London edition is an initiative promoted by the Selectiva Moda Association, co-financed by the EU Structural and Investment Funds as part of the Operational Programme for Competitiveness and Internationalisation (POCI), Portugal 2020 and COMPETE 2020. The FROM PORTUGAL project is made up of approximately 81 international activities which take place in the second half of 2015 and in 2016, covering the entire textile and fashion industry and spread over four continents, with a total investment of over 13 million euros.
