PORTUGUESE FASHION TRAVELS TO POZNAN

Portuguese fashion attends another edition of Poznan Fashion Fair, which runs from 24 - 26 February, in Poznan. Portugal will be represented by three companies – Beppi – Blackspider by Cristina Barros – Kalisson & Bagoraz – which are part of the From Portugal internationalisation project carried out by Associação Seletiva Moda.

Beppi – Blackspider by Cristina Barros – Kalisson & Bagoraz – are the three Portuguese companies travelling to Poznan, supported by Associação Selectiva Moda. Poland is Central Europe's largest market and the eighth biggest market in Continental Europe and thus very attractive to Portuguese entrepreneurs.

Made in Portugal leather shoes and LED trainers are the main highlights by Beppi, a regular at the fashion fair in Poland. «Our expectations regarding participation in this fair are to consolidate the market, increase turnover and win new customers», states Hugo Silva, Commercial Director for the brand.

A regular at the fashion fair, the Cristina Barros brand will present the Winter 2016/17 collection, unique because of the choice of the finest materials, combined with models which show women in all their splendour. Special focus is on soft shades, combined with brighter colours to liven up the day. «This market is a major showcase for all the markets of Central Europe and Russia. Our expectation is always the best, as it is a fair which is extremely well organised by Seletiva Moda and always positively surprises us», explains Francisco Costa, the company's sales manager.

Kalisson & Bagoraz, always a regular in this market, will present a collection characterised by simple visuals, with a natural sensuality. Highlight goes to the light, fluid fabrics, where patterns also take centre stage.

Poznan Fashion Fair is an important meeting point for fashion and clothing professionals. In addition, the fashion fair includes a comprehensive programme of parallel initiatives, composed of fashion shows, trend presentations, among others.

The fashion fair is made up of 5 exhibition areas: Next Season / Fast Fashion, BTS Footwear, BTS leather goods and accessories and bezliQ Zone.

Making its debut in this edition in the new exhibition area for new designers - bezliQ Zone – a ‘Shopping Night’ will take place. This event will take place on 25 February, from 5 - 9 pm.

The participation of the three Portuguese companies in one more Poznan Fashion Fair edition is an initiative promoted by the Selectiva Moda Association, co-financed by the EU Structural and Investment Funds as part of the Operational Programme for Competitiveness and Internationalisation (POCI), Portugal 2020 and COMPETE 2020. The FROM PORTUGAL project is made up of approximately 81 international activities which take place in the second half of 2015 and in 2016, covering the entire textile and fashion industry and spread over four continents, with a total investment of over 13 million euros.
