From 9 to 13 September, the main trends in decoration will be brought together in Madrid for another Intergift, full of new features, including the ranges of the 6 Portuguese companies in attendance - CastelbelDilina, Home&SPADolcecasa Rio SulSun City Têxteis Evaristo Sampaio – which promise to surprise and demonstrate the quality of the made in Portugal “label”.

Something of a fixture in Madrid, Castelbel officially launches its Portus Cale Gold&Blue collection, which is characterised by strong allusions to Portuguese tiles, ceramic containers and sophisticated aromas of pink peppercorn and jasmine. New special editions of Castelbel Christmas will also be presented, which include air fresheners, candles and soaps with a very refined image and delicious aromas of pine, mint, ginger, cinnamon and vanilla. “The September fair is very important for manufacturers that, like Castelbel, operate in the decoration and gifts market in Spain, by bringing together a large number of retailers looking for gift items for Christmas and Epiphany. For several years, Spain has been a strategic market for our brand, and attendance at the fair is essential for maintaining direct contact with current customers and representatives”, explains Marta Araújo, brand director of the company. Expectations in relation to this year’s fair are positive. “Despite the fact that the Castelbel and Portus Cale brands are already relatively well known in the Spanish market, it is expected that our participation will bring us greater visibility and enable us to attract new customers”, he added.

Likewise a constant presence at this event, the Portuguese Dilina Têxteis is back in Madrid, this time presenting a range more directed towards the hotel & spa line. “Intergift is the fair with the greatest impact on our area of activity, and this year our focus will be more directed towards the hotel & spa line. With the visible economic recovery, our expectations for this year’s event are positive”, says António Dinis, manager of the company.

Organised by Ifema, this year’s Intergift event will be attended by over 700 companies. The Bisutex and Madridjoya shows will take place at the same time, and for the second year running, Momad Metrópolis, in which six Portuguese companies will be participating.

The participation of 6 Portuguese companies in another Intergift show is an initiative promoted by the Associação Selectiva Moda co-financed by the European Structural and Investment Funds (ESIF) under the POCI (Operational Competitiveness and Internationalisation Programme), Portugal 2020 and COMPETE 2020. The FROM PORTUGAL project consists of around 81 international initiatives that take place in the 2nd half of 2015 and 2016 covering the entire textile and fashion industry, spread across four continents, with a total investment of over 13 million euros.
