41 COMPANIES AT PREMIÈRE VISION PARIS

For three days, from 19 to 21 September, the world of fashion meets in Paris for the 2nd annual edition of Première Vision Paris. Among the hundreds of exhibitors present, the 41 Portuguese companies stand out, of which 27 are supported by the Selectiva Moda Association, within the framework of the internationalization project From Portugal.

The Portuguese delegation led by Selectiva Moda heads to Paris to attend Première Vision Paris and brings the main trends for autumn / winter 2018 into the bag. Portuguese quality, design and know-how will be represented by the products of 41 companies, 27 of which are supported by Selectiva Moda.

In addition to the stands where Portuguese companies will be present, the Portuguese supply of yarns, fabrics and accessories can also be seen in the Trends From Portugal Forum, located in hall 6, stand F6, where colors and materials of the station can be seen and "touched".

Portugal will be represented in 5 different areas of the event: Première Vision Fabrics,Première Vision Yarns, Première Vision Accessories, Première Vision Manufacturing and a specialization area Knitwear Solutions .

The products of 16 Portuguese companies will be patented in the Première Vision Fabrics: A. Sampaio & Filhos Têxteis - Acatel - Albite Morgado - Familitex - Fitecom - Joaps - Lemar - LMA - Luis Azevedo & Filhos - Lurdes Sampaio - NGS Malhas - Otojal - Sidónios Knitwear - Texser - Tintext Textiles - Troficolor Denim Makers.

Familitex, a specialist in circular knitwear, highlights the Premium, Natural, Fashion and Sportive lines in its collection for the next cold season. "Although it’s already a market that we work, we believe that the presence in this fair that is considered by many to be the best in the sector is crucial for the prospect and solidification of our presence in external merchants", reveals Paula Oliveira, international sales department of the company.

Knits with functional characteristics and trends taking into account the aspects and colors, functional fibers such as Dri-Release, Seacell, Recycled Polyester, Kapok among others, are some of the highlights presented by Joaps in Paris. "Our biggest bet is even on organic and recycled fabrics, because we have several customers and brands that bet on this segment", says Carla Araújo, a company commercial.

"Première Vision is undoubtedly the sector's benchmark fair", says José António Ferreira, Texser's export director. For this 3rd participation the company will present the proposals for autumn / winter 18, where the flannels occupy a prominent place. "In view of the specificity of this fair we also included in our portfolio the proposals for summer 18 because we always have customers who either have not finalized their purchases or want to start the development of the next season", he explains.

In its 5th presence, Tintex presents a collection of more than 80 new qualities and knit designs, in 3 concepts for Fashion, Sportswear, Athleisure and Underwear, where it uses more than 60% of sustainable materials such as Tencel, Cotton and Organic Wool, Ecotec® Recycled Cotton and other smart recycled materials. For this edition expectations are positive "TINTEX has rebranding and presents this season of Autumn / Winter 2017/18 a campaign with contemporary images representative of the company's" Naturally Advanced "identity. The impact of this campaign, which assumes the new positioning of TINTEX with the customers and markets we work with, has exceeded expectations and we believe that the same will happen at PV Paris, further boosting the growing interest and even involvement of premium brands with TINTEX ", reveals Mário Jorge Silva, CEO of the company.

At Première Vision Yarns, two companies will be present: Filasa and SMBM.

On the wire, SMBM, which owns the Fifitex brand, makes its debut in the event "this is our first edition, and our second presence in the event is scheduled in February 2018", says Bernardino Ferreira, sales manager of the company. For the cold season the brand features 6 collections that have a style oriented towards the standardized but discreet fabrics. Regarding the materials, cotton is the highlight of the season, followed by linen, and also the recycled ones occupy a relevant position, having developed a specific collection of recycled polyester. "Our first step towards brand globalization is to expand to this market in order to sustain all the actions we have designed for the future and which are of extreme importance for our strategic plan," he adds.

In the area of specialization: Knitwear Solutions, dedicated to rectilinear knitwear, two Portuguese companies are present: A. Ferreira & Filhos e Carjor.
 
In its 6th participation, A. Ferreira & Filhos , highlights in its collection "seamless products throughout the baby collection", reveals Noel Ferreira, from the company's commercial department. For this edition the expectations are good "Première Vision is a living room, it is very comprehensive, it is not just about the French market", he adds.

In the Première Vision Manufacturing, will be present 6 Portuguese companies: A.J.Gonçalves - Collove - J. Caetano - Raith Têxteis - Soeiro - Squarcione.

For Sandra Barros, Soeiro's merchandiser, the importance of this event is due to the fact "it is a fair with a high international impact". In the collection that stands out for the products of casualwear.

14 Portuguese companies will also be present: Adalberto Estampados - Fitecom - Gierlings Velpor - Lipaco - Orfama - Paulo de Oliveira - Penteadora - Riopele - Somelos Fabrics - Tessimax - TMG Textiles - Trimalhas - Triwool - Vilarinho.

The participation of these 27 Portuguese companies in Première Vision Paris was organised by From Portugal 2017, an initiative promoted by Selectiva Moda and ATP - Associação Têxtil e Vestuário de Portugal (Association of Textiles and Clothing of Portugal), which aims to promote the internationalisation of Portuguese companies in the fashion area.The From Portugal 2017 project is co-financed by Portugal 2020, under Compete 2020 - Operational Programme for Competitiveness and Internationalisation. The value of eligible support totals EUR 12,422,824.75, of which EUR 6,815,741.00 is provided by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund.
