LUSO TEXTILES ON THE CONQUER OF SOUTH AMERICA
Arco Têxteis, Lipaco and Teviz are the three Portuguese companies which will attend the 6th edition of Expotextil Perú which will be held from the 25th to the 28th October in Lima. In order to conquer this market the Portuguese companies will mark their presence in this hall with the support of Associação Selectiva Moda.
The search for new markets outside Europe is one of the strategies of the project From Portugal and this is why the South American markets have been one of the exploring bets throughout the year of 2012. Lima, in Peru, is the next stop before finalizing this year’s path.
The Jockey Exhibition Center in Lime will be the stage for the 6th edition of Expotextil Peru, and will count with the participation of three Portuguese companies – Arco Têxteis – Lipaco and Teviz – with the support of Associação Selectiva Moda, integrated in the internationalization project From Portugal.
The Portuguese offer taken to Peru is quite diverse, ranging from a huge variety of fabrics for the shirting manufacturing presented by Arco Têxteis, to a wide range of threads produced by Lipaco and Teviz’s shirting fabrics which are characterized by its variety of patterns, colours, textures and finishings.
The 6th edition of Expotextil Perú counts with 150 exhibitors coming from 16 countries and an exhibition area of 10 000m2. 20 thousand visitors were present in its last edition.
The participation of the Portuguese companies in Expotextil Perú is an initiative of Associação Selectiva Moda with the support of communitary fundings (QREN), inserted in the project From Portugal. Associação Selectiva Moda is an entity which promotes the internationalization of Portuguese companies and counts, in 2012, with a program of 68 international actions in 25 distinct markets, targeting the areas of threads, tissues and accessorize, fashion, home textiles and technical textiles with an investment of 8,85 million euro.
