PORTUGUESE TEXTILES BET IN TUNISIA

Hundreds of exhibitors are awaited, from the 3rd to the 5th of October, in the next edition of Texmed. Among them are six national companies - Citeve, Lipaco, Rampa Fio, Rendibor, Solinhas and Ultra Creative - which travel to Tunis with the support of Associação Selectiva Moda.

Citeve, Lipaco, Rampa Fio, Rendibor, Solinhas and Ultra Creative – these are Portuguese companies which are part of the delegation of Portuguese companies which will be present in the next edition of Textmed, from the 3rd to the 5th October.
Portuguese companies still maintain their bet in this market, considering it the ideal market for products like threads, fabrics, accessorize and clothing.

There are some news in this edition, with special highlight to the apportionment of 10 thousand m2 of exhibition area, which will be divided between five sectors: Texmed Fashion, Texmed Sourcing, Texmed Pro, Texmed Services and Texmed Young Designers.
Programmed, during the three days of the hall, are conferences, B2B meetings, fashion parades, a young creators competition and the third edition of Texmed Awards which distinguish the performance and creativity of textile companies in Tunisia.
Texmed, in the last five years, has increased the number of exhibitors in 20% and the number of visitors in 60%. The presence of three thousand visitors is predicted in this edition.

The participation of the Portuguese companies in Texmed is an initiative of Associação Selectiva Moda with the support of communitary fundings (QREN), inserted in the project From Portugal. Associação Selectiva Moda is an entity which promotes the internationalization of Portuguese companies and counts, in 2012, with a program of 68 international actions in 25 distinct markets, targeting the areas of threads, tissues and accessorize, fashion, home textiles and technical textiles with an investment of 8,85 million euro.
