PORTUGUESE COMPANIES TO EXHIBIT IN COLOMBIA

From 24 to 26 July, Medellin's Plaza Mayor will host another edition of Colombiamoda. The trade show will be attended by a Portuguese delegation of 13 companies, supported by the Selectiva Moda Association as part of the "From Portugal" internationalisation project.

Thirteen Portuguese companies are scheduled to attend the trade show under the auspices of the "From Portugal" internationalisation project by the Selectiva Moda Association: Arco Têxteis – BW Chic - Dr. Kid – F.S.Baby – Girandola – Micaela Oliveira – Orfama – Sacage Jeans – Emar – Homania – Innovar – Mundo Textil – Portugal Home.

Simplicity of forms, urban sophistication, creativity, innovation, a wide range of models, glamour and elegance
are just some of the features of the trends for the coming summer which will be presented by the Portuguese
companies attending the trade show.

The 23rd edition of Colombiamoda will be held from 24 to 26 July in Plaza Mayor, Medellin. The show is a major business platform and one of the key events of the Latin American textile and clothing sector.
This edition will boast a number of new features, including “El Cubo”, an area for young talent; “Vogue Talents Corner”, an area designed in partnership with Vogue, bringing together famous new Columbian stylists, and “En CasaModa”, an area devoted to home textiles showcasing the sector's latest trends. This last area will include some of the Portuguese companies attending the event: Homania, Innovar, Mundo Têxtil and Portugal Home.
450 exhibitors from Columbia and abroad are expected to attend this year's edition, to be held in renovated premises which have been expanded to include new sections.

The participation of the Portuguese companies in Colombia Moda is an initiative of Associação Selectiva Moda with the support of communitary fundings (QREN), inserted in the project From Portugal.
Associação Selectiva Moda is an entity which promotes the internationalization of Portuguese companies and counts, in 2012, with a program of 68 international actions in 25 distinct markets, targeting the areas of threads, tissues and accessorize, fashion, home textiles and technical textiles with an investment of 8,85 million.
