PORTUGUESE TEXTILES TO VISIT LONDON

The 2nd yearly edition of the London Textile Fair will take place from 18 to 19 July, hosted for the first time by the Business Design Centre. Arco Têxteis, Haco Etiquetas, Idepa, Lemar, LMA, Riopele, Teviz and Vilarinho are the eight companies which make up the Portuguese delegation to London.

The Portuguese delegation attending the trade show comprises eight companies - Arco Têxteis, Haco Etiquetas, Idepa, Lemar, LMA, Riopele, Teviz and Vilarinho – supported by the Selectiva Moda Association as part of the "From Portugal" internationalisation project. On display will be Portuguese trends in men's, women's and children's clothing for the autumn/winter 2013/2014 season.

A regular at the trade show, Arco Têxteis will be taking to London its high quality fabrics and vast range of threads, always on top of the latest trends.
Attending the event for the first time, Haco Etiquetas will present its extensive product line: woven, printed and synthetic labels, shoelaces, jacquard fabrics and tags.
Rigid and elastic tapes, woven and printed labels and badges are among the products presented by Idepa,another newcomer to the trade show.
A wide range of plain, printed and technical fabrics in various combinations for sportswear, swimwear,uniforms, fabrics for pushchairs and baby seats, etc. make up the collection presented by Lemar.
Exhibiting at the trade show for the first time, LMA will present fabrics and knitwear offering technical performance in a wide range of areas including sports, work clothing, the automobile sector, etc.
Riopele will take to London its key trends for women's and men's clothing for the autumn/winter 2013/2014 season. The company has a marked tendency towards more sustainable and eco-friendly production, without compromising its aesthetic sense.
Died yarns for men's, women's and children's shirts, casualwear and sportswear will be among the items exhibited by Teviz, another newcomer.
Also at the event for the first time, flannel specialist Vilarinho will present its collection of shirts for men, women and children.

The London Textile Fair is a trade show which is currently enjoying vigorous growth, and a highlight of the UK's fashion show calendar. This edition will host over 150 exhibitors from the UK, Portugal, France, Spain, Italy, Turkey and Japan.
Special features this year will include the presentation of a Trend Forum, organised by Susanna Samson Design UK, and an area devoted to design studios.

The participation of the Portuguese companies in The London Textile Fair is an initiative of Associação Selectiva Moda with the support of communitary fundings (QREN), inserted in the project From Portugal. Associação Selectiva Moda is an entity which promotes the internationalization of Portuguese companies and counts, in 2012, with a program of 68 international actions in 25 distinct markets, targeting the areas of threads, tissues and accessorize, fashion, home textiles and technical textiles with an investment of 8,85 million euro.
