PORTUGUESE FASHION PROPOSALS IN NEW YORK

Armed with a vast range of fabrics, Portuguese companies are set to impress the thousands of visitors attending this New York trade show. The Metropolitan Pavilion New York will be the stage for yet another edition of PV New York, with five Portuguese companies in the limelight – Lemar, Paulo de Oliveira, Penteadora, Teviz and Vilarinho.

From 11 to 12 July, the Metropolitan Pavilion New York will host another edition of Première Vision New York, where the key trends of their fabric collections for the 2013/2014 autumn/winter season will be presented to the American market. This edition will be attended by five Portuguese companies - Lemar, Paulo de Oliveira, Penteadora, Teviz and Vilarinho – travelling to New York as part of the "From Portugal" project carried out by the Selectiva Moda Association, with the support of EU funds from the National Strategic Reference Framework.

Variety, quality and innovation are among the hallmarks of these products "made in Portugal".
New fabric trends for the beachwear, sportswear and casualwear segments will be Lemar's main contribution in New York.
Specialising in functional, technical fabrics and innovative finishings, Paulo de Oliveira will present a collection consisting mainly of products made from 100% wool, wool and polyester and other blends with cotton, lycra, etc.
100% wool fabrics, rigid and stretch blends for men and women, uniforms and a wide range of ceremonial fabrics make up the bulk of Penteadora's offering.
Teviz will present a collection of fabrics for shirts with emphasis on natural fibres such as cotton and organic cotton, and cotton/thermolite and cotton/lycra blends. Stripes will feature prominently in the collection.
Flannel specialist Vilarinho will present its collection of shirts for men, women and children.

This is the 25th edition of the show, which remains a landmark event on the international scene. This edition will be attended by 113 companies from 16 countries, a significant increase in relation to the July 2011 event.

The participation of the Portuguese companies in Première Vision New York is an initiative of Associação Selectiva Moda with the support of communitary fundings (QREN), inserted in the project From Portugal.
