PORTUGAL TRENDY AND CHIC IN PARIS

Trendy, innovative and with the colours of the season, the Portuguese companies show at Mode City and Interfilière the materials, accessories, sleepwear and beachwear that are going to refresh summer 2013 of the European consumers.

Portuguese players are bolder than ever and, in this edition of Mode City and Interfilière, they reveal surprising colour palettes and innovative materials that will dictate the fashion trends of next year’s hot season. 

Iora Lingerie, which has clients such as department stores El Corte Inglés, reveals a new sleepwear collection «younger and more fashion. It prevail knit sets with summer colours: green, orange, coral, besides palettes of smooth tones already usual in Iora», unveils Cristina Flores, commercial manager. Light and fresh materials were a concern, where delicate and soft laces stand out, for very feminine pieces.

At Emar, beachwear has the spotlight, with the colours of season and innovative designs, capable of adapting to every taste. The inclusion of shaping materials also allows providing a perfect body to all women.

Ghibi, on one hand, debuts in this edition of Mode City with a collection of casual shoes and slippers, with «trendy and stylized designs, in complement with accessories. The interior shoes are made with touches of comfort and refinement “100% made in Portugal”», explains Ana Pinheiro, Ghibi’s marketing manager.

Envicorte participates, for the first time, at Interfilière to exploit the large French market and to promote its products. With accessories directed to several segments, such as lingerie manufacture, haute couture, men and women apparel and home textiles, the company has as strengths the quality and diversity of articles, as well as the fact of being open to create new products adapted to client’s necessities

On the other hand, Fitor, already a usual presence, bets on the «variety of polyester and polyamide yarns, from the most simple to the ones with shining effects, without forgetting the functional ones, such as antimicrobials or with aloe-vera», says António Pereira, company’s CEO. 

The Portuguese Textile and Apparel Industry is one of the most important in Europe, being renowned by its quality, know-how and innovation. In the first quarter of this year, it exported 1,045 million Euros, with the French market in the second place of its main exportation destinations.   

The participation of these Portuguese companies at Mode City and Interfilière  is an initiative of Associação Selectiva Moda, with the support of EU funds (Qren), inserted in the project From Portugal. This trade fair is one of the 68 international actions in 25 different markets, directed to areas such as yarns, fabrics and accessories, fashion, home textiles and decoration and technical textiles, that the Portuguese association will hold in 2012, in a total investment of 8.85 million Euros.
