PORTUGUESE TEXTILES IN SPAIN

The 75th edition of Fimi – International Children's and Young People's Fashion Fair will be held in Valencia from 6 to 8 July. A Têxtil Serzedelo, Albano Morgado, Fábrica de Tecidos Vilarinho and Somelos Tecidos are the four companies making up the Portuguese delegation which will attend the trade show, with the support of the Selectiva Moda Association as part of the "From Portugal" project.

Originality, innovation and design are just some of the qualities featured by the contributions of the four Portuguese companies scheduled to attend the show – A Têxtil Serzedelo, Albano Morgado, Fábrica de Tecidos Vilarinho and Somelos Tecidos – which will exhibit their products in a special area devoted exclusively to Portuguese textile companies.

The Portuguese Forum for Children's Textiles is an initiative by the Selectiva Moda Association, with the support of EU funds from the National Strategic Reference Framework, and is currently in its third edition. The area will showcase the latest national trends in children's textiles for spring/summer 2013.

Organised by Feria de Valencia, FIMI is regarded as an extremely important event in children's fashion. This year marks the show’s 75th edition.

The participation of Portuguese companies in FIMI is an initiative of Associação Selectiva Moda with the support of community funding (Qren), inserted in the project From Portugal. Associação Selectiva Moda is an entity which promotes the internationalization of Portuguese companies, counting, in 2012, with a program of 68 international actions in 25 distinct markets, aimed at the areas of strings, tissues and accessorize, fashion, home textiles, decoration textiles and technical textiles with an investment of 8,85 million euro.
