PORTUGUESE BRIDES IN BARCELONA

A part of the 22nd edition of the Barcelona Bridal Week, the Noviaespaña Saloon will be taking place in Barcelona from the 11th to the 13th of May. A delegation of two Portuguese companies, Franclass and Micaela de Oliveira, will attend this Fair. These companies are part of the From Portugal internationalization project, carried out by Selectiva Moda Association and supported by the QREN EU Funds. The proposals offered by this Portuguese companies to the Spanish city are varied, suiting all tastes, from the simplest ones to the most daring.

A regular presence in this fair, Franclass brings to the country of “nuestros hermanos” a collection of wedding dresses, divided into two lines: Jasmine Couture – dresses made of natural fabrics, silk, organza and tulle; and Jasmine Collection – dresses made of polyester, taffetas and satins.
They will also exhibit their Ceremony collections, with a special highlight to the new “Black Label” line, a new line presented this year, that fits perfectly bridesmaids and the bridegroom’s mothers.
Attending this Fair for the second consecutive year, Micaela Oliveira will be exhibiting its collection of wedding dresses, in a wide variety of lines. Sharing the spotlight will be the female silhouette and the exclusivity of their fabrics, where lace, tulle and satin predominate. Inspired by the feminine sensuality, the Mermaids and Princesses shapes, are the highlighted elements. Also on display will be the Ceremony collection, where the glamour and silk match perfectly.
This is an exhibition that has grown over the years to become an unprecedented reference on the wedding fashion industry. The event takes place at Fira de Barcelona, Hall 8 – Gran Via in Barcelona, an exhibition space of 30.000m2. It is a unique showcase in this industry, which has the best wedding, party and ceremony dresses and accessories.

The participation of the Portuguese companies in NoviaEspaña is an initiative of Associação Selectiva Moda with the support of communitary fundings (QREN), inserted in the project From Portugal. Associação Selectiva Moda is an entity which promotes the internationalization of Portuguese companies and counts, in 2012, with a program of 68 international actions in 25 distinct markets, targeting the areas of threads, tissues and accessorize, fashion, home textiles and technical textiles with an investment of 8,85 million euro.
