MOMAD RECEIVES TEN PORTUGUESE FASHION COMPANIES

Christina Félix, Cristina Barros, Guimanos, Kalisson /Bagoraz /Get in Vibe, Lion of Porches, Maloka / Paul Brial / Gozé, Milagrus, M. Rolo, SMF, Scusi and iTechstyle Green Circle are the brands of the FROM PORTUGAL delegation participating in another edition of MOMAD to be held from September 16th to 18th, in Madrid, Spain.

Participating in the Madrid event for six editions, the Portuguese brand Guimanos hopes to “consolidate its presence in the Spanish market and open doors to potential customers from other markets who may visit us there”, reveals Alexandra Vidigal from the commercial department. As for the novelties to be presented, the Commercial Manager discloses that the Spring Summer 2023 collection “is marked by variety, from pieces with strong patterns and colors to cleaner pieces with neutral colors”. Without wanting to choose a star piece or product, Guimanos bets on a collection dominated by a variety of geometric and floral patterns that include “from large and colorful rapports to the smallest and most discreet”, explains Alexandra.

On the way to the 11th edition with its own stand at MOMAD, Lion of Porches expects that “the influx of visitors will be higher than the previous event, although today the fairs in the larger sector are already 90% open, which generates some competition due to its earlier introduction to the market”, defends Nuno Azevedo, international markets director. Focusing on the Spanish market, the Portuguese brand hopes to consolidate its position with regular customers, and attract new buyers.

Consolidating the trio of brands Maloka, Paul Brian, and Gozé in the Spanish market is the main objective of the Faroma group in one more participation in MOMAD. “After two years of absence, we expect a good turnout”, admits Felicidade, from the commercial area, who also reveals that the Maloka collection represents the group’s remarkable novelties for Spring-Summer 2023.

Novelties, especially in patterns “with mineral details and with the essence of the effervescence of the 20s”, will lead SMF to yet another edition of the Madrid fashion fair. “We hope that there will be a lot more influx of visitors as the confinements are over, but more reticent due to the current context of war and inflation”, adds João Ramos, commercial director of the Portuguese brand.

With Spain as its principal market, the Portuguese brand Christina Félix returns to MOMAD, where it has participated since 2004. “We expect the recovery to continue, especially in the more formal clothing sector and for events”, admits Marcial Félix. The SS23 collection that be in Spain aims to formal events and contexts.
