PORTUGUESE BUSINESSES IN THE EASTERN EUROPEAN MARKET

Four Portuguese brands will be taking part of Tex-Style Poznan and Next Season, two exhibits which are a part of the Poznan Fashion Fair, the major event in the Polish fashion industry. 
It will take place at the Poznan International Fair, in Poznan, from the 27th till the 29th of February, 2012.  

These brands are a part of the From Portugal internationalisation project, which is organized by Selectiva Moda association and is funded by QREN EU Funds. These four Portuguese brands are – Lipaco, MDS – Mad Dragon Seeker, SMF Jeans and Rita Castro Confecções. 

For its first participation in the Tex-Style Poznan – an exhibit focused on raw materials and clothing accessories – Lipaco is showing a collection of diverse sewing-threads and textured yarns. Aiming to fulfil all kinds of needs and expectations, the brand has a wide array of products, their offer ranging from cotton, polyester and polyamide sewing-threads to HT, high tenacity, yarns and spun yarns. 
MDS – Mad Dragon Seeker, SMF Jeans e Rita Castro Confecções will be participating in Next Season, an exhibit focused on fashion apparel. 
Its main target being a public open to new experiences who doesn’t take routines in its way of life, MDS – Mad Dragon Seeker presents its new collection based in the junction of revival and avant-garde themes. Defining itself as an innovative brand, rigour and quality are always intrinsic, from the design stages to the selection of the raw-materials. 
With a colourful note and under the theme of “The Colour Block”, SMF Jeans presents its Winter/Summer suggestions. Its Women Collection is young, dynamic and colourful, where lace, satin and transparencies set the tone. The Men Collection contrasts mild tones with strong colours. A young and modern design add emphasis to jeans.  Rita Castro Confecções portfolio is the result of an elaborate research of materials and trends. The brand suggests light fabrics as silk, tulle, mousseline as well as Italian fabrics. Sensuality, colour and glamour are this collection keyword, which will enhance the female silhouette. Long skirts, cocktail dresses and short jackets will be on the spotlight.

The Poznan Fashion Fair consists of four different exhibits: Next Season, Fast Fashion, BTS and Tex-Style. Besides the participation of 460 brands during the three days of the event there will also be several seminars, workshops, fashion and latest trends shows. The last edition of the Poznan Fashion Fair had nearly five thousand visitors. 

The participation of the Portuguese companies in Tex-Style & Next Season Poznan is an initiative of Associação Selectiva Moda with the support of communitary fundings (QREN), inserted in the project From Portugal. Associação Selectiva Moda is an entity which promotes the internationalization of Portuguese companies and counts, in 2012, with a program of 68 international actions in 25 distinct markets, targeting the areas of threads, tissues and accessorize, fashion, home textiles and technical textiles with an investment of 8,85 million euro.
