PORTUGUESE FABRICS ON THE JAPANESE MARKET

Acatel, Albano Morgado, Bordados Oliveira, Burel Factory, Fitecom S.A., Lemar and Texser/Têxtil Serzedelo are the 7 companies that will exhibit at the next JITAC within the project From Portugal

From 27 to 29 March, the Bellesalle Shibuya Garden will host another edition of the Jitac European Textile Fair. As in previous years, the presence of Portuguese companies in this market is indisputable. Acatel, Albano Morgado, Bordados Oliveira, Burel Factory, Fitecom S.A., Lemar and Texser/Têxtil Serzedelo are the companies in this year’s delegation.

Lemar, a regular at the fair since 2012, will present plain, striped, checked and printed fabrics for outerwear, technical fabrics for bags and backpacks, as well as recycled Polyester and Polyamide fabrics. According to Manuela Araújo, CEO of the company “it is a market that we are conquering one fair at a time, a very challenging one, so we want to continue strengthening the existing contacts, meet new clients and possibly increase our turnover”.

One of the main goals of Têxtil Serzedelo, present on the market for 4 years now, is to expand the presence of the Texser brand on the market of the Land of the Rising Sun. “We are going to present different fabric constructions using Stamped, Délavé and Mezcla yarns, among others, covering a range of Casual and Sport options, not forgetting our service of tailored solutions, which makes us stand out among the other companies that are present”, says José António Ferreira in the quality of external market manager. “The Japanese market”, he adds, “is a very peculiar market with great potential in specific items, where Portugal is very competitive”.

Two other Portuguese companies will also exhibit at this fair: Riopele and Somelos Tecidos

The Jitac European Textile Fair is an exclusive fair for European manufacturers of fabrics and textile materials.

The participation of these Portuguese companies in JITAC is an initiative promoted by Selectiva Moda and ATP - Associação Têxtil e Vestuário de Portugal (Association of Textiles and Clothing of Portugal), which aims to promote the internationalisation of Portuguese companies in the fashion area. The From Portugal 2017 project is co-financed by Portugal 2020, under Compete 2020 - Operational Programme for Competitiveness and Internationalisation. The value of eligible support totals EUR 12,118,285.17, of which EUR 6,695,352.55 is provided by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund.
