FROM PORTUGAL @ PURE LONDON

The London Olympia hosts the next edition of Pure London, which runs from 11 to 13 February. Men's fashion, women's fashion, young people's fashion, athleisure, footwear and accessories make up the offer of the event. Of note are the 8 Portuguese companies, 7 of which are being supported by the Associação Selectiva Moda, as part of the From Portugal internationalisation project.

The fashion industry has a fair scheduled from 11 to 13 February to discover the main trends for autumn/winter 2018-19.

A group of seven companies from Portugal are exhibiting – Blackspider - Carla M Jewellery – Cristina Barros – Cotton Brothers - Endless Rose – SMF – Starway To Heaven – integrated in an initiative carried out by the Associação Selectiva Moda, under the framework of the From Portugal internationalisation project.

CristinaBarros completes its 10th participation in the fair and presents a collection where wool and cashmere sweaters have the main role. «This is a market with a lot of refinement, glamour and purchasing power, so our expectations are the highest», says Joaquim Cunha, CEO of the company.

Also with a wide offer for women's fashion, Endless Rose presents a collection designed for the modern and cosmopolitan woman, with attention to details. «We design unique pieces that capture the balance between a sophisticated woman with feminine sensuality, as well as a daring, cool girl interested in the aesthetic side. The “Endeless Rose” woman stands out from the crowd and attracts attention for her style», explains the brand's manager.

An exhibitor at Pure London since 2011, the SMF brand presents a diverse collection with a wide range of dresses and tunics. Where materials are concerned, the major focus is on prints and linens. «This is the most important market after Portugal, where we have a network of 7 salespersons and more than 150 customers», explains João Ramos. The commercial director also states that the main objective is «to increase sales and consolidate the English market, as this is a fair where we can usually attract several new customers».

One more Portuguese company will also be exhibiting: Averse.

The London event features more than 800 brands of men's fashion, women's fashion, young people's fashion, athleisure, footwear and accessories, which will present their main products and trends at the fair over its 3 days.

The participation of these 7 Portuguese companies at Pure London is an initiative promoted by Selectiva Moda and ATP - Associação Têxtil e Vestuário de Portugal (Association of Textiles and Clothing of Portugal), which aims to promote the internationalisation of Portuguese companies in the fashion area. The From Portugal project is co-financed by Portugal 2020, within the scope of the Compete 2020 - Operational Programme for Competitiveness and Internationalisation. The value of eligible support totals EUR 12,118,285.17, of which EUR 6,695,352.55 is provided by the European Union under the European Regional Development Fund.
