PORTUGUESE UNREST IN BOOT

Coming from a country planted by the sea, it’s eight the number of Portuguese companies which travel to Düsseldorf to the biggest concentration of the international industry of equipments, sports and nautical activities. 

The main European shopwindow in the nautical sector will be held from the 21st to the 29th January, in Düsseldorf. Around 1600 exhibitors coming from more than 50 countries will be present in this fair to present their innovations to the next season. 
Portugal will once again be present in this fair with a delegation of eight companies - Artefita, Damel, Cotesi, Elio Kayaks, P&R Têxteis, Regatta, SPO e Blue Sea Corp – supported by Associação Selectiva Moda in the scope of the internationalization project financed by QREN.  
Surf and diving suits, safety and rescue systems, yacht stools, canoes, gunwales, floating lanyard, sports clothes and surfboards are some of the national proposals which will be presented in Nautical Showcase From Portugal.
Portugal is one of the most ancient nations in the European continent, presenting a diversity of traditions and a proud history of sailing. The country and the islands of Azores and Madeira are blessed with a surprising variety of landscapes, cultural treasures, river valleys and kilometers of beauty sunny beaches. 
In BOOT, Düsseldorf, the country shows a different perspective by organizing the Portugal’s Nautical Display. This exhibition aims to place Portugal in the map of textiles with nautical applications, such as cables, floating devices, chairs, clothes and kayaks with the goal of promoting the offer and demand of technical textiles made-in Portugal. 

The organization of the Nautical Showcase From Portugal invites you to visit its stand and to attend the following lectures:

Portugal, Mermaids and One Amazing Ocean –by Ricardo Diniz, Co – founder and President of Portugal Ocean Race;
Azores Feel Alive – by José Toste, CEO of Associação Regional de Turismo (Regional Tourism Association);

The participation of the Portuguese companies in Boot Düsseldorf is an initiative of Associação Selectiva Moda with the support of communitary fundings (QREN), inserted in the project From Portugal. Associação Selectiva Moda is an entity which promotes the internationalization of Portuguese companies and counts, in 2012, with a program of 68 international actions in 25 distinct markets, targeting the areas of threads, tissues and accessorize, fashion, home textiles and technical textiles with an investment of 8,85 million euro.
