STRONG FROM PORTUGAL GROUP IN LILLE

The annual international fairs calendar closes with the second annual edition of Tissu Premier - Collections. The Lille Grand Palais plays host over two days, 26 and 27 November, to another fair at which Portuguese companies will exhibit, supported by Associação Selectiva Moda under the From Portugal internationalisation project, funded by Compete and NSRF.

The annual international fairs calendar closes with the second annual edition of Tissu Premier - Collections. The Lille Grand Palais plays host over two days, 26 and 27 November, to another fair at which Portuguese companies will exhibit, supported by Associação Selectiva Moda under the From Portugal internationalisation project, funded by Compete and NSRF.

This edition of Tissu Premier - Collections will be presented under the motto "Good Taste & Fresh Fashion". This fair, now managed by PV Manufacturing, combines two areas: one devoted to fabrics and raw materials, and the other to clothing and accessories. This year's fair will have about 180 exhibitors.

Azta – MTV Belts – R. Lobo – A Têxtil Serzedelo – Celostecelagem – Gulbena – Quick Code – SanMartin – Tintex – Vilartex are the 10 Portuguese companies of fabrics, accessories and clothing that will be attending this event in Lille, as part of an initiative by Associação Selectiva Moda, under the From Portugal internationalisation project.

Azta returns after being absent from some fairs, presenting an optimistic collection that is full of life, combining innovation with comfort and elegance. Clothing for man, woman and child, designed for every life moment.

The highlights of MTV Belts are "vintage" belts in animal skin, or made from plants, untreated leather and cloth. This is the first time this company is exhibiting at the Lille fair.

R. Lobo, a habitual presence at the fair, presents the main trends of its collection for next season. It is a collection primarily focused on design and innovation, using natural fibres like cotton, and lyocel, micromodal and viscose.

The commercial circuit of Texser / Têxtil Serzedelo takes in Lille, making it a habitual exhibitor at this fair. "We will exhibit new fashions for the season, as well as the different standard grades that our portfolio includes as alternatives. The aim of our participation is to grow our market share and attract new clients," said the company's export director, José Ferreira.

Fabrics printed using digital technology with exclusive designs, with special emphasis on lightweight fabrics with a silk look, cotton look and also in cotton are some of the proposals of Quick Code in the French city.

Circular, basic, multi-coloured, sustainable, organic and special knitwear are some of the stand-out products of Vilartex, which is debuting in this market. "Our participation will promote the Vilartex ready to wear collection of circular knitwear. Our main goals are also to attract new clients move closer to the north of France, Belgian and Dutch markets as well as reunite with agents and customers of our current markets," explains Carlos Coutinho, sales manager of the company.

The participation of Portuguese companies in Tissu Premier Collections, is an initiative promoted by Associação Selectiva Moda with the support of EU funds (NSRF), under the From Portugal project, and is part of a series of more than 65 international activities planned for 2014, covering the entire textile and fashion industry, spread over four continents – Europe, Asia, Africa and America – with a total investment of 9 million euros.
