Belmiro, Beppi, Carjor, Chua, Patachou, Pink Moon, Piriuki and Zippy are the eight Portuguese companies travelling to Cologne to present the latest trends in Made in Portugal kids' fashion. The participation of the Portuguese companies at Kind+Jugend is being supported by the Selectiva Moda Association, as part of the "From Portugal" globalisation project.

Attending the fair for the second year running, Beppi Kids is presenting its Spring/Summer 2015 collection, which focuses on comfort and high-quality materials. "We chose Kind+Jugend to present our Spring/Summer 2015 collection because it is the biggest fair in the baby and kids' clothing sector and because it takes place in Germany, which is like a 'gateway' for customers from practically every part of the world," explains Hugo Silva, the company's export sales manager. "We have high expectations with regard to our participation and hope to win new customers from new countries," he adds.

The Portuguese company Piriuki will be exhibiting at the fair for the first time. It will be presenting its Piriuki reusable nappies, which have been designed exclusively with babies' comfort in mind, from newborn all the way through until they are potty-trained. "Kind+Jugend is an essential and strategically important fair for us because, apart from being the most important in Europe and one of the most important in the world in the baby and children's market, it is a great opportunity to meet future customers and make new contacts," says Rossana Amador, the company's export manager. The Piriuki World's latest designs will be in the spotlight. "Not only have we expanded our nappy range with new colours and new models, but we also have a collection of cloth nappy accessories, such as bin liners and hemp inserts," she adds.

Kind + Jugend 2014 features approximately 100,000 m² of exhibition space. Over 1,000 exhibitors from all over the world and over 20,000 professional visitors from 110 countries are expected at the event. The quality of the exhibitors and visitors, along with the vast offering of current trends and new designs, definitely helps to make this fair stand out and arouse curiosity.

The participation of Portuguese companies in Kind+Jugend is an initiative promoted by Associação Selectiva Moda, with the support of EU funds (NSRF), within the From Portugal project, which is part of a series of more than 65 international activities planned for 2014, covering the entire textile and fashion sector, spread over four continents - Europe, Asia, Africa and America - with a total investment of 9 million Euros.
