Ten Portuguese companies will be attending one of the greatest international events, the Las Vegas Market Week. Spread by Enk, Mrket, Pool, Project, Stich and Vanguards trade shows, this Portuguese delegation – Cabo D’Mar – Dielmar – Dream Brothers – Fame On You – Inimigoclothing – Jotex – Kalisson/Bagoraz – Katty Xiomara – Orfama/Montagut Industries – Quimeraspecies – is supported by the Selectiva Moda Association, within its internationalisation project, with the support of EU funds (NSRF).

The designer fashion made-in Portugal will be showcased in Enk by Katty Xiomara, an habitual presence in this event. A mix of patterns, textures and colours dominate the collection on display.

For the third year running, the Portuguese brand Dielmar will be there. The highlight is a new line of suits, washed jackets and garment dye "Dielmar Weekend Cotton", always unstructured, made with eco-friendly fabrics 100% cotton or mixes of cotton and linen and cotton and silk. This collection offers a more formal side with special emphasis on the half-canvassed slim fit suits made with high-quality fabrics, predominantly of pure wool.

In its return to Las Vegas, Quimeraspecies will make its presence known in Pool. “This is one of the most prestigious trade shows in the United States and, as we could notice on the last edition, has a very vast audience, so it is a great trade show for making our creativity public” refers Suzana Gonçalves, who manages the brand. The Spring/Summer 2015 collection is in the spotlight composed of a whole range of clothing, footwear, accessories and jewellery. “This is our second edition and 2013 went really well, so our expectations are high”, she adds.

Although a regular presence in this event, Orfama/Montagut Industries presents its collection in Stich trade show for the first time. “It is the first time that we participating in Stich trade show but our expectations are high, because we are aware that this trade show has been quite successful in recent editions and is aimed to clients within the profile we are looking for”, explains António Cunha, who manages the brand. Innovative raw materials in terms of touch and finishes are the products highlighted. “We are going to present innovative raw materials in terms of touch and finishes, models worked with unique jacquard patterns and very thin threads, which is a plus considering the target client we want to work with”, he adds.

Regarded as one of the most prestigious international events, Las Vegas Market Week has two annual editions, in february and august, gathering in Las Vegas the major players in the international fashion industry.

The participation of Portuguese companies in Las Vegas Market Week is an initiative promoted by Selectiva Moda Association with the support of EU funds (NSRF - COMPETE), under the From Portugal project, and is part of a series of more than 65 international activities planned for 2014, covering the entire textile and fashion industry, spread over four continents – Europe, Asia, Africa and America – with a total investment of 9 million euros.
