Once again, London will be the capital of children's fashion for two days, 13th and 14th july, where the main players of the international childrenswear industry will meet. The Portuguese children's fashion brands are investing one more time in this event and this edition will feature six Portuguese brands – Chua – D’Alfaiate Kids – Dot – Dr.  Kid – Risca de Giz – Vandoma – as part of the From Portugal internationalisation project, an initiative promoted by Associação Selectiva Moda with the support of NSRF and Compete.

After the success of last edition, Vandoma returns to London to present its new collection where ties, bow ties and vests for the youngest will be in the spotlight. “United Kingdom has always been a priority market for our company. After a positive participation in the last edition, we will present our new collection. We are confident that we will consolidate and increase our sales in this market”, explains Ana Sousa, who manages the brand.

Newcomer in this event, the brand D’Alfaiate Kids takes to London its luxury classical products made in Portugal, a 50's retro style collection where flowers and vertical stripes patterns are highlighted, inspired in Portuguese elements - the city of Aveiro. “Our brand is intended for an upper middle class public so that we decided to invest in foreign markets in particular in the United Kingdom because it is a market with demand for this type of product. Middle East companies will come to this event and they are also potential clients since it is a growing market that looks for good quality European products”, says Mariana Ramos, the company's designer. “We want to present our brand, which is still very young, to potential clients and strengthen our presence in this market. We were selected for the “Bubble Rising Star” contest which is organised by this trade show for the new brands in the market, and we have expectations and will of winning it”, she adds.

The participation of Portuguese companies in Bubble London, is an initiative promoted by Associação Selectiva Moda with the support of EU funds (NSRF - COMPETE), under the From Portugal project, and is part of a series of more than 65 international activities planned for 2014, covering the entire textile and fashion industry, spread over four continents – Europe, Asia, Africa and America – with a total investment of 9 million euros.
