The Lille Grand Palais will stage the first annual edition of Tissu Premier Collections, on 14 - 15 May. 17 Portuguese companies will be at the event, travelling to the French city with the support of Associação Selectiva Moda, under the From Portugal internationalisation project, with the support of Compete and the NSRF.

Trends for the next cold season, Autumn/Winter 2014-15, are the main highlight of the first annual edition of Tissu Premier Collections. The event brings together two areas, one dedicated to fabrics and raw materials, and the other to clothing and accessories, now under the management of PV Manufacturing, gathering around 160 exhibitors.

17 Portuguese fabrics, accessories and clothing companies responded to the call to attend the event in Lille: Beppi – Celostecelagem – Duotex – Europoint – Gulbena Têxteis – HTH – Kalisson e Bagoraz -  N.G.S. Malhas – Orfama – Quick Code – R. Lobo – Raith SA – SanMartin – Teamstone – Têxtil Serzedelo – Tintex – Valerius Têxteis – as part of an initiative by Associação Selectiva Moda, under the From Portugal internationalisation project.

The From Portugal Forum, will also be one of the highlighted attractions during the event, an innovative space, showcasing products gathered from all the participating Portuguese companies in Tissu Premier Collections, an area exclusively devoted to Made-in Portugal.

Têxtil Serzedelo, a regular at the event and whose internationalisation process continues en route to Lille: “Têxtil Serzedelo's internationalisation process systematically includes Tissu Premier Collections. It is a late event in regard to the season, but it is where we want to be to reach “Last Minute” clients. It is a growing niche market that enables us to reach certain clients more directly”,explains José Ferreira, the company's Marketing & Export Sales manager. The highlight is the best seller fabrics.

A collection of printed fabrics for the 2014-15 cold weather season, Color Range Real Time – where lyocell fibre and blends in different knit structures are widely present – are the main highlights showcased by Gulbena Têxteis. “We aim to survey the market at European level, countries such as Germany, Spain, Estonia, among others, which are our main business targets. We are optimistic and this is the fourth time that Gulbena attends Tissu Premier Collections”, says Raquel Pereira, Sales Representative for the company.

Men and women's products, highlighting women's blouses and tops shown in a mix of various compositions with an urban trend, are the most important novelties to be presented by R. Lobo. “We chose this trade show because it is specifically geared to the private label, the segment we are in and where we aim to continue to develop our work”, states Carla Lobo, the company's General Manager. “We aim to consolidate our position with clients that we have worked with in previous editions, as well as to gain new clients, from new markets”, she adds.

The participation of Portuguese companies in Tissu Premier Collections, is an initiative promoted by Associação Selectiva Moda with the support of EU funds (NSRF), under the From Portugal project, and is part of a series of more than 65 international activities planned for 2014, covering the entire textile and fashion industry, spread over four continents – Europe, Asia, Africa and America – with a total investment of 9 million euros.
