DIGITAL PRINTS GIVE COLOUR TO SUMMER

After have conquered the preference of international names as Lacoste, Marimekko, Paul Smith, Liberty and Robert Talbott, Adalberto Estampados is at Première Vision with a collection where digital prints give a new dimension to Spring/Summer 2012 collections.

Prints are definitely fashionable and digital printing came to give new wings to designers and brands imagination. Alexander McQueen and Prada are only some of the names that already surrender to the exuberance and aesthetic of prints, mainly to the warm season. The Portuguese Adalberto Estampados is one of the pioneer companies in digital printing and in this edition of Première Vision exhibits its new collection, where these prints show that there are no limits to creativity, allowing at the same time, fantastic, solid colours. «There has been a growing interest by customers relating to digital printing and we are investing in this area, namely with the buying new machines», explains Filipe Monteiro, company’s fashion division export manager.

Also in the spotlight for the next warm season are knits, that for long have assumed its role as one of the favourite materials on the collections of major international brands.
The proof of that are the novelties presented by A. Sampaio&Filhos, which proposes «knits  with active thermoregulation and knits with the new polyester Outlast fibre», as João
Mendes, A. Sampaio&Filhos’ collection coordinator, indicates. Lurdes Sampaio SA, on its
side, has developed a knit collection with innovative fibres, such as Kapok and Crabyon.
«Kapok is the natural fibre with the most low specific weight, which allow us to obtain very
light articles in comparison with the covering degree that it presents and with a spongy
touch, while Crabyon is a viscose where it were incorporated chitosan particles and that
gives antibacterial protection and dermatologic benefits», explains Paulo Pereira,
company’s I&D manager.  Luís Azevedo&Filhos, LMA and Sidónios Malhas join these companies, that promise to elevate knits to the top of preferences. 

For those who prefer light, colourful fabrics with the best raw materials for shirting
and men and women apparel, Arco Têxteis, Fitecom, Living Colours, Riopele, Somelos Tecidos,Teviz and TMG, which have international renown clients as Chanel, Armani, Ralph Lauren and Burberry, show in first hand their new collections. And for whom even in the summer does not relieve the comfort and the thermoregulation properties of wool, the solution is on the offer of the companies B4F, Paulo de Oliveira, Penteadora, Tessimax,Texwool and Texweave.

Summer is also a synonym of bath and in Portugal there is a name that lead
internationally: Lemar, known by its offer of fabrics to men bathing suits with its already famous yarn dyed stripes. Portugal has also representatives at Expofil, where Tearfil shows its new yarns for Fall/Winter 2012/2013, and at Zoom by Fatex, with the presence of Fiorima, FSConfecções, Inarbel, Orfama, Raith and Squarcione.
