MADE-IN PORTUGAL MAKES ITS PRESENCE KNOWN IN PERU

From 24-27 October, nine Portuguese companies travel to Peru, to make their presence known at the 7th edition of Expotextil Peru. Among the Portuguese exhibitors are: AMR|Portugal Home – Fitexar – Lady Susy – Têxteis Íris – Lipaco – Lumatex – Valentini Bianco – Ribera – Vianatece – who are continuing on this adventure with support from the Associação Selectiva Moda and its NSRF project.

From 24-27 October, nine Portuguese companies travel to Peru, to make their presence known at the 7th edition of Expotextil Peru. Among the Portuguese exhibitors are: AMR|Portugal Home – Fitexar – Lady Susy – Têxteis Íris – Lipaco – Lumatex – Valentini Bianco – Ribera – Vianatece – who are continuing on this adventure with support from the Associação Selectiva Moda and its NSRF  project.

In its 7th edition, the event features nearly 220 exhibitors, among which are nine Portuguese companies – AMR|Portugal Home – Fitexar – Lady Susy – Têxteis Íris – Lipaco – Lumatex – Valentini Bianco – Ribera – Vianatece – who are participating with support from the Associação Selectiva Moda, with support from NSRF and Compete. The Made In Portugal range, brought to Peru, is very diverse and promises to be a positive surprise in this market, with quality, design and innovation. 

In the area of home textiles we are counting on collections presented by AMR|Portugal Home, Têxteis Íris, Lumatex, Valentini Bianco and Vianatece, on display will be the latest trends to “dress up” the house, innovative products with quality which characterizes made-in Portugal. 

Premiering at this event, Vianatece will present its collection presented in Paris, with special emphasis on the Misto model of rugs and MANISES quilt, with regard to bedding. «With the feedback we have had from neighbouring countries, notably Colombia and Brazil, our expectations for this exhibition are very high, we hope to capture customers not only in Peru, but Chile, Mexico and Uruguay as well», explains Sérgio Peixoto, director of the company. 

Yarns with various applications, are present by the hand of Fitexar and Lipaco; quality, diversity and innovation are the watchwords. 

Intecol, presents its Lady Susy brand, its every-day-wear socks and tights will be featured, and Rendibor, in turn, will make its debut in this market, and as Francisco Teles de Menezes, manager of the company, affirmed «we hope to be able to find new clients to increase our business portfolio».

Although young, Expotextil Peru brings together a great range of manufacturers and suppliers to the textile and clothing industry as well as the program of conferences and shows that make this salon a mandatory stop for anyone looking for good deals. The event includes an exhibition space of 10,000 m2 and around 20,000 visitors are expected. 

Participation of Portuguese companies in Expotextil Peru is an initiative organised by the Selectiva Moda Association, supported by Compete and NSRF and integrated in the From Portugal project. Selectiva Moda is an association that promotes the internationalisation of Portuguese companies and for 2013 it has an programme of international actions in 35 different markets, aimed at the areas of yarns, fabric and finishing accessories, fashion, home textiles and decoration and technical textiles.
