The Business Design Centre will be hosting another London Textile Fair starting on 17 July. For two days, 11 Portuguese companies – A Têxtil Serzedelo – Arco Têxteis – Burel Factory – Gierlings Velpor – Idepa – Lemar – LMA – Riopele – Teviz – TMG – Vilarinho – will be in London on an initiative organised by Selectiva Moda Association, within the framework of the From Portugal internationalisation project.

The Portuguese delegation will be taking a huge range of Portuguese fabrics to London, notable for their quality and Made In Portugal design. From shirting fabric and technical and high-performance knitwear, to woven and printed labels, non-elastic ribbons, yarn-dyed and printed fabrics and structured fabrics for swimwear and sports.

A Têxtil Serzedelo – Arco Têxteis – Burel Factory – Gierlings Velpor – Idepa – Lemar – LMA – Riopele – Teviz – TMG – Vilarinho – are the 11 companies in the Portuguese delegation travelling to London.

100% cottons, as well as synthetic fibres, artificial or mixed fibres, such as cotton/linen or cotton/lycra are some of the products that A Têxtil Serzedelo will be showing. Shirting fabric Made In Portugal will be represented in London by Arco Têxteis.

In turn, Burel Factory will be highlighting 100% wool fabrics. Velvets and synthetic fur in cotton, viscose, lycra, fine and natural fibres (silk, wool and cashmere), organic cotton and imitation leather are some of the proposals from Gierlings Velpor.

Woven and printed labels and elastic and non-elastic ribbons are some of the products taken by Idepa. Diversity is the hallmark of Lemar, which will be presenting at this event fabrics of various compositions with numerous applications: casual, swimwear, sports, golf.

LMA - alitecno® presents knits and fabrics with technical characteristics and multiple purposes. Riopele, a company with extensive experience on the British market, is presenting the main trends in fabric for the next season.

100% cotton and linen fabrics are some of the main trends that Teviz is taking to the British capital. TMG is presenting a collection inspired by everyday life, to be worn depending on the occasion, thus providing a “unique” style. Cotton, linen, poplin, twill and taffeta are some of the highlights. Highlights at the Vilarinho booth will be the 100% cotton shirting for men, women and children.

The London Textile Fair is an event that is held twice a year, attracting more than 250 exhibitors and continuing to expand with each event, playing an increasingly important role in the trade show calendar in the United Kingdom. Besides areas for fabrics and accessories, the fair has a Print Studio area, as well as a Trend Area where vintage collections are presented by some of the main European designers.

The participation of Portuguese companies in The London Textile Fair is an initiative of Selectiva Moda Association, with support from Compete and NSRF, as part of the From Portugal project. Selectiva Moda is an association that promotes the internationalisation of Portuguese companies and for 2013 it has a programme of international actions in 35 different markets, aimed at the areas of yarns, fabrics and accessories, fashion, home textiles and decoration and technical textiles.
