OUTDOOR MADE-IN PORTUGAL
The city of Friedrichshafen, in Germany, will be hosting the 20th Outdoor fair, which will open its doors on 11 July.
The city of Friedrichshafen, in Germany, will be hosting the 20th Outdoor fair, which will open its doors on 11 July. The event will run from 11 to 14 July and will be attended by the best producers of articles for outdoors sports. Dunebleue – Heliotextil – Patorra e P&R Têxteis are the four Portuguese companies taking part in the event on an initiative of Selectiva Moda Association, with the support of Compete (Competitiveness Factors Operational Programme) and of NSRF.
From 11 to 14 July, the German city of Friedrichshafen will be full of the best producers of articles for outdoor sports. There will be four companies representing Portugal – Dunebleue – Heliotextil – Patorra – P&R Têxteis – who will travel to the Germany with the support of Selectiva Moda Association, under the From Portugal internationalisation project.
Selectiva Moda counts with Citeve, as is partner, to organize the Portuguese participation. CITEVE Textile Technology, is a reference organization within the National and European Technological landscape, regarding innovation, promotion and development of the Textile and Clothing Industry. It offers technological services of the highest level in different areas such as: Laboratorial Testing, Technological Consultancy & Engineering, R&D+ Innovation, Product Standards and Certification, Training & Coaching and Design & Fashion Intelligence.
The newcomers to this event are setting off for Friedrichshafen with a positive spirit and excellent expectations. «Our type of product suits this fair, since we are the only company in Portugal that manufactures climbing holds and structures (climbing walls). Our expectations are high and we are confident that we will do business», explains Augusto Gonçalves, director of Patorra. At Outdoor, Patorra will present climbing holds, a product that it is developing in partnership with INEGI (Institute of Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Management).
Heliotextil returns to Outdoor, an event that suits the products presented by this Portuguese company. «Outdoor offers a huge range of clothing products, as well as sports equipment. It is an important sector that matches the high quality and technically advanced articles that Heliotextil presents», says Vânia Fazenda, from the company’s export department. «Our objective is to present the company and our products, to reach new markets and new customers», she concludes. At the Heliotextil booth, the highlights will be innovative technical solutions in the area of transfers and elastics. In terms of transfers, “HELIO” quality offers an advanced technical performance, adapted to almost any type of fabric. In the area of elastics, it will present sublimations, as well as silicon printing on special materials and fibres.
The Outdoor trade fair is organised by Messe Friedrichshafen. It is the largest trade fair for outdoor sports articles and brings together 900 exhibitors in 85 thousand square metres of exhibition area. Around 20 thousand trade visitors are expected at this 20th fair.
The participation of Portuguese companies in Outdoor is an initiative of Selectiva Moda Association, with support from Compete and NSRF, as part of the From Portugal project. Selectiva Moda is an association that promotes the internationalisation of Portuguese companies and for 2013 it has a programme of international actions in 35 different markets, aimed at the areas of yarns, fabrics and accessories, fashion, home textiles and decoration and technical textiles.
